Is this Galaxy S5 battery bigger than a regular battery?

This battery is twice the capacity of a regular battery. To fit in all that power, the battery is slightly thicker than a regular battery. Your old back plate and existing cases will not fit the new battery size. After a few days or even hours you will adjust to the added weight.

Is this Galaxy S5 Extended Battery Compatible with Quick Charge or Fast Charge?

Quick Charge is not compatible with our extended batteries. They are high capacity batteries and require a full 8-10 hour charging time, each time you charge them. We don't recommend using Quick Charge, the high charging voltage may damage your battery long term.

How long should this Extended Battery for Galaxy S5 last?

Our extended batteries are twice the capacity of your original battery. But in terms of actual hours, the average user sees about 8 hours more battery life than your regular battery. Other more battery conscious users have received 40+ total hours of battery life. It depends on charging habits and your smartphone usage habits.

How long should I charge my Samsung Galaxy S5 extended life battery?

You want to charge this high capacity Galaxy S5 battery for at least 8-10 hours. Even when it says that it is fully charged, keep charging overnight. If you don't fully charge it the battery will show that it is draining quickly.

Your phone will take a little while to adjust to the new battery capacity. The phone will think that it is fully charged but it is not.

Why is my Galaxy S5 extended battery not holding a charge?

The most common reason a battery doesn't seem to be holding a charge is due to the battery not being charged the full charging period. 95% of the time, this is the reason. The other could be a bad charger, a low-quality cable, or keeping your phone in a really high or really low-temperature environment.

My Samsung Galaxy S5 Extended Battery has a bulge in the middle. What does this mean?

There are a few reasons for this. If your battery is over a year old, it could mean your battery is seeing its last days. If you’ve only had it for several months, it could be due to improper charging. If you are still within warranty, please contact us at support@gorillagadgets.com.
